Cross Country running has begun. Reminders to bring a water bottle, outside running shoes and running shorts or pants.

Our students in grades 4-8 participated at NPSS in an all day track and field event on Friday May 22.

It was fantastic to see all the hard work the staff and students put into the day. Thank you to the NPSS crew and the parents who came to assist and cheer.

Pine River staff and students will be participated in this year's Santa Claus Parade.  We had a float courtesy of the Black family.   The Pine River Leadership Team including Social Justice, Student Council and the Assembly Team were involved in decorating and promoting this event. Our float received a second place overall and we were proud to donate funding to the Breakfast for Learning program.

Pine River is proud to announce that our Junior Girls volleyball team, coached by Ms. Huzl, placed first in their division at the tournament held at Angus Morrison. The girls will be presented with a banner that will be displayed in our gymnasium. VolleyballPrints006.jpgPine River students enjoy volleyball. The junior girls, junior boys and intermediate boys volleyball teams are progressing well under the guidance of our dedicated teachers.

Our intermediate girls basketball team is competing under the dedicated coaching of our teachers.

Our players practice positive sportsmanship and have a positive outlook on having fun.

Games club is open to students during first nutrition break in our Learning Centre.  Board games are an excellent way to build skills and learn cooperation. We encourage a family games night at your home.

cross-country-running-hi.pngThe Pine River Patriots have a cross country running team.  The runners have been training every day and all members of our sports teams are encouraged to run as well.

We offer a range of sports, clubs and activities at our school. These extracurricular activities are run by volunteers—our own staff—often with the help of parents or other community members.

Extracurricular activities are a great way for students to meet peers with similar interests. It’s also a chance for students to explore their passions and interests outside of the classroom.
